Deep work is the block of time when the hard thing actually gets done, and it rarely happens by accident. Something has to hold the block open while everything else asks for a minute.

This category is about that. How long a session should run for the kind of work in front of you, why drafting and email want different lengths, and what changes when a session has a name on it before it starts. A focus session in Loggd runs from 15 to 90 minutes and can be bound to a task or to a habit, so what you sat down to do was decided in advance rather than negotiated at minute twelve. The server measures the session and clamps it to the length you planned, so a tab left open overnight is not recorded as eight hours of work.
